Holidays in Morocco can be different things to different people. There is such a variety of landscapes, cities and activities on offer here, that you really can tailor make your Morocco holidays to give you what you’re looking for.
Perhaps you want beaches on holiday? Well, Essaouira is a stunning little Morocco beach resort with some gorgeous places to stay. Perhaps to you Morocco holidays mean going shopping and exploring in the imperial cities of Marrakech or Fez? Or maybe you are after adventure? You can find it in the Atlas mountains or the deserts.
The North African country of Morocco is right on Europe’s doorstep yet it is a world apart. It is a land of ancient souks and medinas, kasbahs and ksour. The Imperial cities like Marrakech, Fez and Meknes boast a wealth of exquisite Islamic art and architecture, character and colour. There is a wide choice of holiday accommodation from luxury hotels to stylish riads (traditional houses converted to small hotels).
Away from the cities the High Atlas Mountains provide some excellent trekking locations through beautiful mountain scenery and it is a pleasure to stay in some of the remote Berber villages. The charming coastal towns like Essaouira offer the chance to chill out on the beach and dine on excellent sea food. And the Sahara desert is perhaps the ultimate place to climb magnificent sand dunes – they are some of the largest anywhere. There is a whole host of choice when planning a Morocco holiday whether you want a long weekend in Marrakech or a couple of weeks seeing some of the country’s highlights.
